The Senior Medicare Patrol programs, also known as the SMP programs, recruit
and teach senior volunteers and professionals to help Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries become better health care consumers.

The National Consumer Protection Technical Resource Center provides key services
to health care consumers and AoA’s 54 SMP programs located throughout the country including the District of Columbia, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
