West Virginia
To celebrate Consumer Protection Week, the WV SMP teamed up with Governor Joe Manchin III, the AG’s Office and AoA for a series of activities culminating with a Reverse Boiler Room Operation (RBO). During the RBO, 50 volunteers, including Barbara Dieker, Director of the Office of Elder Rights for AoA and Keith Fulton, President of Verizon WV phoned nearly 3000 older West Virginians to warn them about Medicare, telemarketing, and wire fraud. Stay tuned for a feature in the upcoming Sentinel!
