According to documents filed in the case and statements made in court, a doctor who was the chief medical officer for a laboratory company was listed as the “Ordering Physician” on test orders that contained a certification from the doctor that the tests were medically reasonable and necessary. The test requests contained fraudulent information regarding medical histories and conditions and falsely represented that he provided the patients with information regarding genetic testing.
