Be on the lookout during Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period, which runs October 15 to December 7. A person may pretend to be a Medicare representative, a fraudulent provider may try to prescribe you medical equipment or services, or someone may try to steal your personal information or your money. Read a news story from CNBC or a blog from the Federal Trade Commission . Contact your local Senior Medicare Patrol for more information.
