Health Care Company CEO Pleads Guilty

RIP.JPG

Tanya Parrish Grant has pleaded guilty to health care fraud that she carried out through two companies she controlled – Carolina Rehab Products Inc., also known as Atlantic Brace, and Blue File DME. The investigation showed that she paid companies in India and Pakistan to provide her with lists of Medicare patient names and identifying information. In many instances, Grant billed Medicare without supporting physician orders and without shipping durable medical equipment (DME) products. When audited by Medicare contractors, the evidence showed Grant would forge physician orders if no such orders existed in her files to support her billings.
