Two Arrested for Pharmacy Kickback Schemes

Hua Huang and Huiling Wu were arrested on criminal charges related to their alleged participation in schemes to pay illegal kickbacks and bribes to Medicare beneficiaries and Medicaid recipients for medically unnecessary prescriptions filled by various pharmacies that resulted in more than $10.5 million in total losses to Medicare and Medicaid. They allegedly referred people to specific podiatrists, who signed prescriptions. Read a Department of Justice press release
